We are seeking a skilled Transportation Planner to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from €2200 to €2500 gross, commensurate with your skills and experience. As a Transportation Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient movement of contracted freight. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing transportation routes to meet client requirements and maximize operational efficiency. Your expertise will directly contribute to our company’s success in delivering reliable and cost-effective logistics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to understand transportation requirements and objectives.
- Develop and implement transportation plans to optimize routes and ensure on-time delivery of contracted freight.
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including driver assignments, equipment utilization, and load planning.
- Monitor and track shipments to proactively identify and resolve any transportation issues or delays.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including route data, delivery schedules, and performance metrics.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve transportation efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining service quality.
- Stay informed about industry regulations, market trends, and emerging technologies in transportation planning.
- Provide regular updates and reports to clients and internal stakeholders on transportation performance and KPIs.
Requirements
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate.
- Proficiency in written and oral communication in Russian or any other language is a significant advantage.
- Proven experience as a Transportation Planner or a Dispatcher in the logistics management field in US market is a bonus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize transportation routes and schedules.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and team members. - Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and related software.
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and adherence to transportation regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
